THE HIDDEN

THE HOLLOW # 3; THE HIDDEN

The Hidden (The Hollow, #3)
A love that knows no bounds.

Abbey knows that Caspian is her destiny. Theirs is a bond that transcends even death. But as Abbey finally learns the full truth about the dark fate that links her to Caspian and ties them both to the town of Sleepy Hollow, she suddenly has some very hard choices to make. Caspian may be the love of her life, but is that love worth dying for?

Beautifully spun, emotionally gripping, and irresistibly romantic, The Hidden will leave you breathless.

REVIEW;
This conclusion to the trilogy is probably my favorite.Although all three books were great, the hidden is most definately the best one. It's a little more faster in the story then the others and there are a few characters and revelations that make this book the ultimate ending.
Everything is cleared up in this book and the end was amazing (I'm almost embarrassed to say that i cried at the end, it was just so beautiful, and the ending was even better then i was hoping for)
It was the perfect ending with special twists and turns. I don't know what else to say than that I loved this book and recommend this to anyone.

THE HAUNTED

THE HOLLOW #2 : THE HAUNTED

The Haunted (The Hollow, #2)
An impossible truth. An impossible love.

After a summer spent reclaiming her sanity and trying to forget the boy she fell in love with--the boy who must not exist, cannot exist, because she knows that he is dead--Abbey returns to Sleepy Hollow, ready to leave the ghosts of her past behind. She throws herself into her schoolwork, her perfume-making, and her friendship with Ben, her cute and funny lab partner, who just might be her ticket to getting over Caspian once and for all.

But Abbey can never get over Caspian, and Caspian has no choice but to return to her side, for Caspian is a Shade, and Abbey is his destiny. They are tied not only to each other, but also to the town of Sleepy Hollow, and to the famous legend that binds their fates--a legend whose dark truths they are only beginning to guess....

REVIEW;
In the second book in the hollow trilogy you follow Abbey who is trying to understand the 'Caspian situation' but also tries to get on with her life. In the beginning Abbey wants to forget Caspian, but ofcourse she can't. In the meanwhile Abbey also want's to figure out what happened with Kristin's death, and she comes closer and closer to the truth.
The legend of sleepy hollow keeps appearing and gets a major twist turn when Abbey meets the characters themselves.
Abbey developes a new friendship with Ben, who had a major crush on Kristin and shares Abbey's grief.
The battle with Abbey's feelings for Caspian,  and how she tries to move on makes this book a great in-between book that helps the story develop.
I enjoyed this book, just as I enjoyed.

THE HOLLOW

THE HOLLOW #1 : THE HOLLOW

A love like no other...

When Abbey's best friend, Kristen, vanishes at the bridge near Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, everyone else is all too quick to accept that Kristen is dead...and rumors fly that her death was no accident. Abbey goes through the motions of mourning her best friend, but privately, she refuses to believe that Kristen is really gone. Then she meets Caspian, the gorgeous and mysterious boy who shows up out of nowhere at Kristen's funeral and keeps reappearing in Abbey's life. Caspian clearly has secrets of his own, but he's the only person who makes Abbey feel normal again...but also special.

Just when Abbey starts to feel that she might survive all this, she learns a secret that makes her question everything she thought she knew about her best friend. How could Kristen have kept silent about so much? And could this secret have led to her death? As Abbey struggles to understand Kristen's betrayal, she uncovers a frightening truth that nearly unravels her - one that will challenge her emerging love for Caspian, as well as her own sanity.

REVIEW :
The Hollow is a really unique book. The legend of sleepy hollow (which has Dutch roots) is used in all three books and made it original, thinking about it made me realize that somehow this is a retelling off that legend but at the same time very true to the legend.

The book starts with a very depressing and tragic funeral for Abbey's best friend Kristen. And the dead of Kristen is a red line through the entire trilogy.
It's beautiful how you follow Abbey's journey through grief, loss and also love, a love that is really special but also very true. I've never read a character that is so true and sweet and loveable as Caspian.
A lot happens at the cemetary, which sounds weird but it isn't.
Abbey and Caspian's relationship reminds me a little of Sam and Grace in the wolves of mercy falls trilogy. (and honestly, I like Abbey and Caspian the best, if I had to chose)
The thing is, I could really understand Abbey. She's a very lovable main character with clear idea's about her future (she wants to get her own perfume store) and a very strong personality. I really liked Abbey, and her hobby of perfume making is a very original detail.
When Abbey meets Caspian there is an immediate connection, and that connection developes quite easily and quickly (and beautifully).

At the end of the Hollow we get to know WHAT Caspian is, Abbey can't touch him (the exception is only once a year) but he can make things and move things, which made it quite difficult for me to figure out what he was. The only thing that made me expect what he was, was the fact that Abbey is the only one who can see him.
When Abbey finds out she doesn't take it as well as I'd hoped, but that makes for a funny and light cliffhanger.

VAMPIRE ACADEMY MOVIE CAST

VAMPIRE ACADEMY: BLOOD SISTERS
OFFICIAL MOVIE CAST

The three main character of the official Vampire Academy movie called Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters are revealed.

Lucy Fry as Vasilisa 'Lissa' Dragomir                   Zoey Deutch as Rosemarie 'Rose' Hathaway

Danila Kozlovsky as Dimitri Belikov

I think the casting directors did a great job picking these actors for these characters.
When I first discovered that these were the official actors I saw a picture of Danila Kozlovsky (he's really Russian too!!!) with short hair, which made me a little unsure about if he is the best choice. But after finding the picture above on google I was 100% satisfied.

What did you think when you discovered that these are the official actors? Please comment below ;)

LAST SACRIFICE

VAMPIRE ACADEMY #6 : LAST SACRIFICE
                                               Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6)
The Queen is dead and the Moroi world will never be the same.

Rose Hathaway is awaiting wrongful execution and there exists only one man who can stall this terrible fate. Rose must look to both Dimitri and Adrian, the two great loves of her life, to find him.

With her best friend, Lissa, in a deadly struggle for the royal throne, the girls find themselves forced to rely upon enemies and questioning those they thought could trust...

But what if true freedom means sacrificing the most important thing of all?

Each other.

REVIEW:
My oh my, this is going to sound weird but I really didn't want to finish this book. Not because it was bad, on the contrary, this book is my favorite all togheter. It was beautiful and excititing, PHENOMENAl.
So I didn't want to finish it because that would mean the end of Vampire Academy, the end of living with Rose. And I wanted it to go on forever, this is a series that never gets bored. The ending was satisfying and it helped that I knew Bloodlines goes further into the VA world.
This book has some really interesting and great surprises and new things you find out about this world.
Tatiana's murderer is revealed at the end, and I can tell you it was nothing I'd expected (my bets were on Daniella Ivashkov, Sorry Adrian). Rose and Dimitri's relationship becomes even more wonderful than I'd expected.
This book was a great ending to a series that I didn't want to end. LOVE this series and hope the movies are as great (I like who they cast as Rose)

SPIRIT BOUND

VAMPIRE ACADEMY # 5 : SPIRIT BOUND
                                                       Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5)
Dimitri gave Rose the ultimate choice. But she chose wrong...

After a long and heartbreaking journey to Dimitri’s birthplace in Siberia, Rose Hathaway has finally returned to St. Vladimir’s—and to her best friend, Lissa. It is nearly graduation, and the girls can’t wait for their real lives beyond the Academy’s iron gates to begin. But Rose’s heart still aches for Dimitri, and she knows he’s out there, somewhere.

She failed to kill him when she had the chance. And now her worst fears are about to come true—Dimitri has tasted her blood, and now he is hunting her. Only this time, he won’t rest until Rose joins him... forever.

REVIEW:
Rose is back at St.Vladimir and is graduating.
She has her trial and passes with flying colors. Meanwhile Dimitri is after Rose, he sends her love letters telling her that he will find her, I found these letters beautiful but scary, and he does find her at the end.
Rose is busy finding a way to turn Dimitri Dhampir again, following a lead to the solution that she isn't 100% sure of.
The solution seems quite simple but has twists and turns that keep it nearly impossible.
This book was somewhat frustrating but in a good way. You get so sweeped up in this world every time you enter it, and that's the magic of this series I think.
Again an incredible book, with a cliff hanger ending that makes you want more.

BLOOD PROMISE

VAMPIRE ACADEMY #4 : BLOOD PROMISE
                                                    Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4)

How far will Rose go to keep a promise?

The recent Strigoi attack at St. Vladimir’s Academy was the deadliest ever in the school’s history, claiming the lives of Moroi students, teachers, and guardians alike. Even worse, the Strigoi took some of their victims with them... including Dimitri.

He’d rather die than be one of them, and now Rose must abandon her best friend, Lissa—the one she has sworn to protect no matter what—and keep the promise Dimitri begged her to make long ago. But with everything at stake, how can she possibly destroy the person she loves most?

REVIEW:
Rose goes out of the protected wall of St. Vladimir's Academy and to SIBERIA. Yep you heard me right, Siberia. Rose is going to keep her promise to Dimitri, and she doesn't care what it takes.
And the journey she takes is so so.... I don't know, but it's amazing and sad it was an emotional journey.
Dimitri as a Strigoi was somewhat shocking, he's the same but also not. If I were Rose I would have thrown myself in his arms, strigoi or not. Ofcourse that has it's consequences.
We also get to know  Dimitri's family ( and Rose's family). I loved Olena and Viktoria and Grandma Belikov is a very interesting character. Especially how they accept Rose into their family.

I feel like I'm saying the same things over and over again but I really really love this series.

SHADOW KISS

VAMPIRE ACADEMY #3 : SHADOW KISS
                                                     Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3)
It’s springtime at St. Vladimir’s Academy and Rose is close to graduation, but since making her first Strigoi kills, things haven’t felt quite right. She’s having dark thoughts, behaving erratically, and worst of all... might be seeing ghosts.

Consumed by her forbidden love with her tutor Dimitri and protecting her best friend, the Moroi princess Lissa, Rose is in no state to see the deadly threat that will change her entire world—and make her choose between the two people she loves most.

REVIEW:
Shadow kiss is probably my favorite and my least favorite book all in one. The ending ( the epic cliff hanger) of this book made it that way.

Rose is in a little burn out in this book, I think. The strigoi kill's are getting to her, as is Mason's death and Lissa's spirit effects. Dimitri is the knight in shining armor who helps Rose get through these things.
So the ending becomes more and more epic with every step that the relationship between Rose and Dimitri grows.

This was/is a roller coaster, and honestly it's one that I want to stay on to know the ending.
The ending is soooo..... I don't even know what to say.
The only thing I can say is that I don't know why I waited to read this series, so if you haven't read it yet READ IT

GODDESS OF LOVE

GODDESS SUMMONING #5 : GODDESS OF LOVE

With "humor and verve," (Publishers Weekly) Cast tells the story of the mythical Venus who comes to life to help a nerdy woman find her inner goddess.

Pea Chamberlain needs a makeover-shoes, hair, clothes, make-up-if she wants to attract an ?bersexy fireman. And who could better coax Pea out of her pod than the Goddess of Love, whom she invokes in a moment of desperation?

Venus works her magic on Pea, but who will help her when she falls for that same sexy fireman? Could Venus need a love makeover for herself? Check out the five-alarm heat when the Goddess of Love unexpectedly loses her heart.

REVIEW :

This was the first Goddess Summoning book I read. It was an amazing story, the way P.C Cast makes the goddesses and gods into real people is mind blowing.
Venus is quite funny, with her special way of cussing and advice. Her loyalty is another special feature of Venus, she and Pea quickly become friends (in an odd way, yes).
The goddess summoning books have some elemants in common, one of those is that there is always a handsome but troubled guy that unexpectedly finds himself in te situation of falling in love with the mortal human main character. This is also the case in goddess of love, though it become's clear in a very unique way. Pea has a big crush on Griffin and Venus wants to help Pea being noticed by him, so you think that this book will end with Pea and Griffin happily ever after. That's were you're wrong and I'm not going to spoil anything, just read the book.

It's amazing how P.C Cast fits everything perfectly togheter and gets that mind blowing ending that leaves you breathless and which I love.

FROSTBITE

VAMPIRE ACADEMY #2 : FROSTBITE

Rose loves Dimitri, Dimitri might love Tasha, and Mason would die to be with Rose...

It’s winter break at St. Vladimir’s, but Rose is feeling anything but festive. A massive Strigoi attack has put the school on high alert, and now the Academy’s crawling with Guardians—including Rose’s hard-hitting mother, Janine Hathaway. And if hand-to-hand combat with her mom wasn’t bad enough, Rose’s tutor Dimitri has his eye on someone else, her friend Mason’s got a huge crush on her, and Rose keeps getting stuck in Lissa’s head while she’s making out with her boyfriend, Christian! The Strigoi are closing in, and the Academy’s not taking any risks... This year, St. Vlad’s annual holiday ski trip is mandatory.

But the glittering winter landscape and the posh Idaho resort only create the illusion of safety. When three friends run away in an offensive move against the deadly Strigoi, Rose must join forces with Christian to rescue them. But heroism rarely comes without a price...

REVIEW :                                                (SPOILER ALERT)
Again, I loved this book, this series in general. And the end was so bittersweet and perfect, not too much of a cliffhanger but enough to make you want to read more.

The relationship between Dimitri and Rose is growing, and it's beautiful, and frustrating because Dimitri doesn't want to give in to their love.
In this second installment in the series we go furter into the amazing roller coaster that is called the vampire academy series.
We also see Rose's first strigoi kill(s), Rose grows stronger and wiser. And we are going to meet another spirit user called Adrian, who will become one of those characters you'll love and sometimes annoys you (mostly love though)

I give this book 4,5 roses because it wasn't as spectacular as the others but still A-MA-ZING.

VAMPIRE ACADEMY

VAMPIRE ACADEMY #1 : VAMPIRE ACADEMY
St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger...

Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.

REVIEW :
This book was amazing. I loved Rose, her personality, her bond with Lissa, her passion for Dimitri, everything about her. It isn't really a surprise that I loved this book, everyone loves these books. After avoiding the series for a while, because everyone demanded that I should read them, I started the book and really liked it.
This series is a surprising and fenomenal new take on the vampire genre, one that I really love.
Everthing is from Rose's perspective but because of the psysik bond you also get Lissa's perspective.
Richelle's writing is something else too, I've never read books so quickly. Her writing is beautiful, detailed, funny etc.

You won't regret reading these books, the series is really really great (I can honestly say that it has become one of my favorite series pretty quickly).
I don't like it when people really start bugging me about books, it makes me NOT want to read them (but I'm really glad I still read these books)

Certainly recommand this for any fantasy/supernatural/paranormal/vampire fan ;)
I would give 6 roses but my ratings only go to 5, so it's 5 roses with ribbons.
