FALLEN IN LOVE

THE FALLEN SERIES #3.5 : FALLEN IN LOVE

Fallen in Love (Fallen, #3.5)
Unexpected. Unrequited. Forbidden. Eternal. Everyone has their own love story.

And in a twist of fate, four extraordinary love stories combine over the course of a romantic Valentine's Day in Medieval England. Miles and Shelby find love where they
least expect it. Roland learns a painful lesson about finding-and losing love. Arianne pays the price for a love so fierce it burns. And for the first -and last- time, Daniel and Luce
will spend a night together like none other.

Lauren Kate's FALLEN IN LOVE is filled with love stories . . . the ones everyone has been waiting for.

True love never says goodbye. . .

REVIEW:
I read the entire fallen series before this book, and I think I should have read this one in between  Passion and Rapture because Rapture's ending spoiled Shelby and Miles's story for me. I still liked the story but it wasn't a surprise. And Daniel andd Luce's story really seemed redundant.
Arriane's story  and Roland's story on the other hand were great story's though and I liked that these stories all took place at te same time in the same place.
Arriane's story was a big surprise to me (well not a really big one because a friend of mine already told me the biggest plot spoiler, not on purpase and you know it instantly when starting the story, but still) , I really wouldn't have guessed that. I think everyone agrees with me when I say that I thought that Arriane and Roland would have a story TOGETHER. But they each have their own tragic love stories seperately.

I liked the book and if you love the fallen series read this one to. Liked it but didn't love it
So I gave is 3,5 roses

RAPTURE

THE FALLEN SERIES #4 : RAPTURE

The sky is dark with wings . . . .

Like sand in an hourglass, time is running out for Luce and Daniel. To stop Lucifer from erasing the past they must find the place where the angels fell to earth. Dark forces are after them, and Daniel doesn’t know if he can do this—live only to lose Luce again and again.

Yet together they will face an epic battle that will end with lifeless bodies . . . and angel dust. Great sacrifices are made. Hearts are destroyed. And suddenly Luce knows what must happen.

For she was meant to be with someone other than Daniel. The curse they’ve borne has always and only been about her—and the love she cast aside. The choice she makes now will be the only one that truly matters.

In the fight for Luce, who will win?

REVIEW : (SPOILER ALERT)
Rapture is the conclusion to the fallen series. And I have to tell you one thing, IT'S SO FRIGGIN AWESOME.  It really is worth getting through Torment to get to this.
I loved the way everything worked towards an apocalypse kind of ending.
Lucifer played a bigger role in this book, which I think was necessary. Until now the main characters were fighting an invisible force and the outcast's were only the enemy's for there own plan.
The way that the outcast's blossom (I think I can say Literally) is another factor that made this book so great. I got goosebumps when Luce made the Throne give them there wings and eyeside and beauty back.
And the Throne, the notorious Throne, I laughed out loud and said "Sooo god IS a woman" when SHE came . (a scene from gilmore girls sprang into my mind.
Emily to Richard: You were on the phone?
Richard: Long distance
Lorelai: God?
Richard: London
Lorelai: God lives in Lodon?
Richard: No my mother lives in London
Lorelai: Your mother is god? Sooo god IS a woman and a relative, that's so cool I'm gonna totally ask for favors.
Richard to Rory: Please make her stop
Rory: Oh I wish that I could)
I still don't understand why Luce and Daniel would not side with the Throne, they can still have their love when they are in heaven, right? But I still love the end.
The end reminded me a little of the ending from Goddess of Light (by P.C Cast) but in this book I liked the ending, especially when you get to the point where the older versions of Shelby and Miles and Roland and Arriane watch them.

So if you've stopped reading after torment or passion, go out and read Rapture because you don't want to miss the ending.
I gave this book 5 roses

PASSION

THE FALLEN SERIES #3 : PASSION

Luce would die for Daniel.
And she has. Over and over again. Throughout time, Luce and Daniel have found each other, only to be painfully torn apart: Luce dead, Daniel left broken and alone. But perhaps it doesn’t need to be that way…
Luce is certain that something—or someone—in a past life can help her in her present one. So she begins the most important journey of this lifetime… going back eternities to witness firsthand her romances with Daniel . . . and finally unlock the key to making their love last.
Cam and the legions of angels and Outcasts are desperate to catch Luce, but none are as frantic as Daniel. He chases Luce through their shared pasts, terrified of what might happen if she rewrites history.
Because their romance for the ages could go up in flames… forever.
REVIEW :
Passion takes you on a journey through centuries. Untill this book, you knew that Luce had been reincarnated dozens of times. The first chapter in Fallen #1 is a scene from one of Luce's many previous lifes. In this book Luce goes into an anouncer and back to her previous lifes. On her way she meets Bill, a "gargoyle"  who is her guide. He helps her to find the answers she's so desperately looking for.
This book was a roller coaster through time and the world. Lauren Kate beautifully described these scenes and made them seem real to you. I felt like I was with Luce, searching for answers in different times. It was an exciting holiday, if you can describe it like that. I would have liked to have more scenes with Arriane, Gabbe and the other angels. But everything in these books is thoroughly thought of, so when I was reading Rapture I totally understood Lauren Kate's reasons why she wrote the book and events this way.
I give this book 4,5 roses because Rapture is my favorite and this book missed the suspense that fills that book.

TORMENT

THE FALLEN SERIES #2 : TORMENT

Torment (Fallen, #2)
Hell on earth.

That's what it's like for Luce to be apart from her fallen angel boyfriend, Daniel.

It took them an eternity to find one another, but now he has told her he must go away. Just long enough to hunt down the Outcasts - immortals who want to kill Luce. Daniel hides Luce at Shoreline, a school on the rocky California coast with unusually gifted students: Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and humans.

At Shoreline, Luce learns what the Shadows are, and how she can use them as windows to her previous lives. Yet the more Luce learns, the more she suspects that Daniel hasn't told her everything. He's hiding something - something dangerous.

What if Daniel's version of the past isn't actually true? What if Luce is really meant to be with someone else?

The second novel in the addictive FALLEN series...where love never dies.

REVIEW:
I liked the Fallen series very much. But I have to say that torment really was a little of a torment for me (yes, the pun was intended). I don't like waiting and this book was a book that introduced you and let you learn about the angel and nephilim world, so you had to wait for the action to begin and get to know what Luce and Daniel's relationship is all about. But this book really needed to be there in the series.
I liked the way torment went into al the details of the world you had only glimpsed in Fallen.
Miles and Shelby are wonderfully introduced and I loved the fact that the story of Luce and Daniel is a legend/ mythe amongst the shoreline kids.
My first thought was, when I was guided through the shoreline school, was that it was a fancy, rich kid school. But I actually really liked the school and the kids that go there weren't the snobs I expected.

So my oppinion is that you really have to get through this book to really understand the angel world.
And it really isn't as bad and slow as I momentarily thought.
So I gave this book 4 roses.

FALLEN

THE FALLEN SERIES #1 : FALLEN

Fallen (Fallen, #1)
There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Even Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce – he goes out of his way to make that very clear. But she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret...even if it kills her.

Dangerously exciting and darkly romantic, FALLEN is a page-turning thriller and the ultimate love story.

REVIEW :
This was the first book I read about fallen angels, angels in general. And I liked it.
When I first heard about this book I wanted to know if I would like it, so I read a lot of reviews about the fallen series. But most reviews on goodreads about this book were very negative, and some people compared it to Twilight (which I totally diagree with, because it is nothing like twilight. I hate it when people start comparing books with twilight, because mostly they are wrong.)

I really LOVED this book. It's very well written and from the very first moment I loved the characters. Luce is a character that is easy to love. For most of the book it's a fairly normal book, but you know there is more to it. And at the end when every piece of the puzzle falls together you understand why. And you want more!!!

So if you are trying to decide if you want to read this book, don't let the bad reviews deceive you, because, to be honest, everyone should at least give it a try, and believe me, you will love it. It's about "fallen angels" and "true love" for christ's sake, do I have to say more. ;)

So I gave this book 5 roses. Again, this was my first angel book and I really liked it (I also really liked passion and rapture, especially raptue, in this series)
And look at the bottom of the cover, PC Cast liked it and recomments this book ;)
